Additionally we have the "V" Dome that has barbecue facilities, picnic tables, electricity and water.
Note: We have 3 picnics during the summer and the campground does fill up for these events, always the 3rd Sunday in June, July, and August.
Directions: From Highway 20 North of Oak Harbor turn right on Ault Field Road and go to the first light, turn left at the light onto Goldie Road (Post is approx. ¼ mile on the right). From Highway 20 south and Midway Boulevard, turn left onto Goldie Road (Jasons Restaurant) and go about 1 mile, we are on the left.![]() |

1. Current
card-holding VFW Post and Auxiliary members in good standing and their signed-in guest(s)
are eligible to use these facilities.
Note: Sponsors must remain with, and are responsible for their guest(s) at all times.
2. Members and guests using the campsites must sign-in in the Campground Log-in Book in the Post Canteen and display a current membership card.
3. Camping season is 1 May through 30 September. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost per day per site is by your donation only. Submit donations to the bartender in the canteen.
4. The length of stay in a campsite is limited to seven (7) days in one stay and fourteen (14) in any month during the camping season. This time may be extended but must be approved by the Land and Recreation Committee.
5. Campsites will be kept in a neat and orderly manner. Do not place carpets/rugs on the grass. All trash must be placed in the dumpsters located near the back steps of the Post Home. If you move picnic tables, fire pits, etc. return them to their original location prior to your departure.
6. Tents are allowed on the grass in the tent-site area only.
7. Quiet time is 2300 to 0700. There shall be no loud music, boisterous activity, or annoying bright lights.
8. The speed limit on Post property is (10) miles per hour.
9. Bicycles are not allowed to be ridden on Post property. Golf clubs and similar equipment are not to be used on Post Property.
10. Children are to be supervised at all time and are not allowed to bother other campsites or destroy property. Parents are responsible for any damage caused by their children.
11. Under no circumstances will anyone under the age of 21 be served or allowed to consume alcoholic beverages anywhere on Post property.
12. Pets are not allowed in the V-Dome picnic area. Pets must be on a restraint and are not allowed to bother other campsites. Pet owners must clean up after their pets.
13. Vehicles, boats and RV's are not allowed to be stored on Post property. RV's are only allowed to be parked on Post property with the inten of being occupied.
14. The Post floor has granted a campground host the privilege of staying on Post property to maintain Post grounds.
15. These park rules are the responsibility of the Land and Recreation Committee who has authority from the Post floor to enforce these rules.

TUSCON, AZ AREA
Eight acres of parking available dry camp. Water available, no hookups, limited electric for medical (15 amp). No dump, no cable.
Directions: Take Highway 86 west out of Tuscon, AZ approximently 23 miles, turn south on Highway 286, to approximately one mile and the Post is on your left. Strictly donation. We serve dinners during the winter months on Friday night and have Western music. Serve Breakfast during the winter on Sunday mornings. (Group of 20 or more, dinner and breakfast available on request. Call (520)822-5047 for reservations and ask for Bar Manager).
TEMPE, AZ
Bob Finch Post 3632 rents two units in a shopping center so there is plenty of lighted, paved parking for RVs. No hookups of any kind.
Directions: Located on the SE corner of I-60 and Rural Rd in Tempe. Behind Dennys Restaurant.

NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA
VFW Post 4647 has 5 RV parking spaces that they will rent to other VFW members ($7.00 donation to the Post Building fund for an overnight stay). Water and electrical hookups.
Directions: Westbound on I-80, exit Antelope Road West bound and continue about 4 miles. After crossing Watt Ave, the post is one and a half blocks on your left. Antelope Road changes name to U Street.
Eastbound on I-80 take Watt Ave exit, northbound. Continue about 4 ½ miles. Turn left at Raleys center. The street to your left is U Street, while the same street eastbound is Antelope Road. Post is a block and a half on your left.
FAIR OAKS, CA

Directions: Take US Highway 50, turn north at the Hazel Ave Exit. After you cross over the American River on Hazel Ave, continue north. You will pass a traffic signal at Winding Way and another traffic at La Serena Street. Turn right at the next street, Kruithof Way (you will see our sign at the intersection of Kruithof and Hazel). Follow Kruithof as far as you can go (about 1 ½ blocks). Go slow on Kruithof Way because of the three speed bumps.
Request $5.00 donation per night. Only available to current card or life card member.
VISTA, CA
VFW Post 7046 responded that the Elks Lodge has parking available. Most Elk Members are also VFW members.
19 spaces with electric and water.
Directions: 2 blocks north of VFW Post. 1947 E. Vista Way.

SANTA MARIA, CA
VFW Post 2521: Has parking lot with electrical and water hookups and a place to dump a holding tank. Open 10 to 10 Mon-Sat and l0 to 8pm on Sundays.
From either direction on US101, exit on Stowell Rd and turn south (left) on jBradley Rd, then west (right) on Battles three blocks to 200 East Battles (across from the Post Office) to Post 2521. Post is set back from the road.

Directions: From I-8, turn south on Buckman Springs Road at the rest stop. Go 10 miles to State Highway 94 east to Campo (mile marker 50.5). Turn right on Forest Gate Road and follow the signs to the Post.
There is a railroad museum, a truck museum, and a historical museum about Camp Lockett here in Campo. We are about 50 miles east of San Diego and 17 miles from Tecate, Mexico.
ANDERSON, CA

Directions: 4 blocks west of southbound I-5, on north Street, 3 blocks north on West Center Street or 5 blocks west of northbound I-5 on Balls Ferry Rd, and South Street to West Center and 8 blocks north. The building is next door to the Library.
CEDARVILLE, CA

Directions: S.H. 395 north from Reno or via S.H.299 east from Redding, to Alturas, thence N.E. on S.H. 299 over Cedar Pass to Cedarville. Post is ¼ mile north of Cedarville.
Primarily ranching area, with hunting, fishing, and rock-hunting available. We would welcome VFW members to visit, spend some time here, and enjoy what we have available.

Directions: Going north on Highway 99 take Stockton Blvd exit and at the light make a left on to Stockton Blvd. Youd go through 3 lights and our Post is on the left hand side. Going south on Highway 99 take Mack Road east exit, go over the freeway to Stockton Blvd. Take a left and go through 2 more lights. We are on the left hand side.

Follow 775 left on Cape Haze Dr (distance of 6 or 7 miles or minutes, couldnt make it out). Go @ 2 miles or minutes on Cape Haze Dr to 3725. From South, I-75 exit 31 (Veterans Highway) to SR 776 (cross US 41) go @ 6 miles, or minutes, to GR771, left to Cape Haze Dr. (10 or 11 miles).

ABILENE, TX

Directions: Post is located right by the main gate of Dyess Air Force Base. Hwy 80 west to Arnold Blvd. Access road is Veterans Drive.
VERNON, TX

Directions: From either direction on Highway 287, exit at Laurie St. Go east/south (not sure just what this means; but it may become clear when you make your exit) about l mile to Commerce St., turn south and the Post is on the left about 1000 feet from the corner.
LUFKIN, TX

There are 32 Sites available and water and electricity is available. No onsite dump station; but one is available at the city waste water treatment plant approx. 5 miles from the Post. Hours of manned operation is from 3pm to 9pm Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Directions: Take the Ford Chapel exit (State 325) off of Loop 287and we are approximately 1 mile from the loop on the left.
