USS Decatur and the MA-4 Project Mercury space capsule after completing the first US orbit of the earth. We recovered on it on September 5, 1961. I maneuvered the ship alongside it for the pickup and we subsequent delivered it to NASA near Hamilton, Bermuda.

Decatur today as a missile test ship at Port Hueneme, California. Sad, no?
