This is a great web site!! Thanks so much for creating it. All Veterans deserve so much more credit than they receive. My dad-Obie Ray Duncan (Dunk) was on the USS Ormsby & also the USS Baxter & USS Joaquin during WWII. He passed away on July 5, 1999. I always remember him talking about one of his best friends on ship. He tried many times to locate him, but in vain. The man's name was Bryan Jennings Curtis. (B.J.). I am probably spelling all of this wrong. But he was from Arkansas. I found a letter that he had written to my Grandmother for my dad. It was really interesting. Because he & my dad were about 18 at the time. B.J. , if you are out there, I would love to talk with you. Or if any of his descendants read this, please contact me. |
