||This is a great web site!! Thanks so much for creating it. All Veterans deserve so much more credit than they receive. My dad-Obie Ray Duncan (Dunk) was on the USS Ormsby & also the USS Baxter & USS Joaquin during WWII. He passed away on July 5, 1999. I always remember him talking about one of his best friends on ship. He tried many times to locate him, but in vain. The man's name was Bryan Jennings Curtis. (B.J.). I am probably spelling all of this wrong. But he was from Arkansas. I found a letter that he had written to my Grandmother for my dad. It was really interesting. Because he & my dad were about 18 at the time. B.J. , if you are out there, I would love to talk with you. Or if any of his descendants read this, please contact me.

||Hi Joe and thank you for your site. Former Tin Can Man on the USS DuPont DD941. Not much history to be found about her. Seems she was a secret during my stay on her. May God Bless us all in these stressed times. Took part in the Cuban Blockade with so many others. Scares one to think how close we were to WWIII than we thought. Anyone wanting a picture of the DuPont, please feel free to request it. Great pic from press release in 60. Stop in Tucson and visit also.
