ARE YOU AN ANCIENT?
We are a guild of mature people. Those over 30 years of age are preferred, but not required. Skill in the game is preferred, but not required. Manners and polite behavior ARE required.

Do you play DAoC for entertainment and seek drama elsewhere? If so, consider joining the Ancients. We are a guild of friends first and gamers second. Our goal is to set the standard for adult behavior in the game. We are a fun and sometimes silly group of people, but we know how to play well in both PvE and RvR.

Our guild makes extensive use of Ventrilo. It is a voice chat program that is free, small and easy to configure. Please be able to at least listen.

We strongly discourage the use of casual profanity. Rudeness to another player is a "one strike and you are out of the guild" offense. Any violation of Mythic's TOS, such as cheating, naming violations, etc. will also result in your removal from the guild. Behavior between consenting adults is not moderated as long as it does not spill over from private chats.

Guild ranks are based on responsibilities, not merit. Everyone is equal, it's just that some are more equal than others. If you are looking to climb your way to the top on the backs of others, you had best look elsewhere. The guild is not a democracy. I claim that I run a benevolent dictatorship. Feel free to ask other guild members in private as to my style.

For guild exclusive events, need before greed is STRONGLY encouraged unless unanimously agreed upon to the contrary beforehand. Even if using a lotto, guildees are expected to consider the desires of others for the good of the guild as a whole.

One guild rule is no useless running and jumping. There are a number of reasons I demand this and it is non-negotiable. If you can't sit still this is not the guild for you.
