If you've read my poem entitled "Regret," you'll recognize the first few lines of this song. This Seifer-Rinoa song was what inspired me to write that poem. . . BTW, I have no idea why I like the thought of Seifer and Rinoa together. I like the Squall-Rinoa relationship and there's so many other girls for Seifer. . . ("OTHER GIRLS? NEGATIVE! OTHER GIRLS, DEAD!") *lol*
You never tried to smile
To make me feel something more
You always were away
To leave my heart, torn and sore
I wanted to see your love
But the thought never came to you
You always were out there fighting
Someone I would care for
But when you came to me
That one night, mysteriously
Your face, for once, was free
Your smile, just for me
I looked, but I couldn't see
Why you stared through me so unhappily
Did you seem to know
That I was unhappy too?
Seifer, so sadly now
You whisper your dreams to me
As if they'll never come
As if they'll never rise
Should I tell you now
That I love you more than before
You're so real now
I can't believe I thought I was dreaming
I always looked to you
To find my strength, find my voice
But now I finally see
That you, like me, are human too
So let me run to you
So you don't look so unhappily
Oh, don't shrug me away
Or I'll be unhappy too
Seifer, don't lose yourself
Grasp your sanity
Turn back to look for me
Don't raise your sword at me
Oh, shall I tell you now
That I don't care for the scar or the blade
Just give me your hand
And I will know that you aren't dreaming
Seifer, so sadly now
You whisper your dreams to me
As if they'll never come
As if they'll never rise
Should I tell you now
That I love you more than before
You're so real now
I can't believe I thought I was dreaming
