BLUE

This car originally belonged to a friend. She bought it for $1600 in 1992 and put sporty 185/70/13 tires on it, replaced a cv boot and had it serviced regularly. In fact, seeing how reliable and sporty this car was inspired me to buy my first Honda, Frankenstein. After I bought Frank, I showed some interest in buying Blue's tires from my friend for $200, since I had a Honda with really bad tires. She told me that she wanted to sell the whole car and not just the tires. By this time, I had already bought 205/60/13 sport tires for Frankenstein, and no longer needed her tires. I told her I was only willing to spend $200.
She sold me the whole car for $200! Can you believe it?
I put a nice stereo in it and drove it all throughout my days of going to clubs and shows and such silliness. I felt like I had an impressive car again for the first time since my Toronado died. This car served me well, lots of outdoor parties with the stereo on full blast, I even figured out how to use the car stereo as an amplifier for my guitar. Lots of good memories in this car. Of course, there was the time the transmission blew out at 80 mph, but even that wasn't so bad, because I found a tranny shop that replaced it for $500.
Around the spring of 1996, I took this car in to have the tires checked and the shop mentioned to me that my brakes needed attention. If I'd have had the 50 bucks to get the brakes done, I'd still have this car. Instead, the brakes failed when my best friend Greg was driving, and the car was totalled. We took out the engine and transmission to use in Gold and sent the gutted corpse to the junkyard. This car is severely missed.
